Yaktronix Synth Prototyping Make # Zero - Digi synth with analog filter and LFO

Kyle Evans aka Yaktronix posted his latest video about his continuing progress on a digital synth project that he plans to start producing very soon. The synth will be reprogrammable from any computer and the code can be easily bent or created from scratch. It also has an LFO controlled analog resonant lowpass filter to fatten up the sound.

The unit will also be circuit bendable. This project will be completely open source including schematics, code, everything, once he gets everything organized.

The original video seen above of the synth prototyping project analog resonant lowpass filter and LFO sawtooth filter cutoff CV.

While the majority of his work lies in the realm of experimental music composition and performance, his work also encompasses experimentation with technology, real-time video performance, and abstract video installation. He has invented many electronic instruments ranging from studio-based synthesizers and performance-based computer interfaces to electronic modifications and augmentations to acoustic instruments. His performances and installations commonly explore the relation between modern and obsolete technologies, aleatoric processes, and the dialogue and interaction between performer and technology.
